Gynaecological problems affect millions of women worldwide
These conditions include diseases of the ovaries, tubes, uterus, cervix, vagina, vulva and pelvic floor. They may present with problems of the periods (heavy, irregular etc.), pain, soreness, sexual dysfunction, urinary incontinence, bladder infection, genital prolapse, Premenstrual tension (PMT) symptoms, etc.
Although not all these conditions are serious but they can be embarrassing and disrupting to normal daily activity and may lead to mental or physical distress. it pays, therefore, to be aware of any symptoms and when to seek medical advice.
